I have traveled by car and train from Austria to Cesky Krumlov. Are going
by way of Linz?
Then as long as you stay of E55 you will not need the toll Sicker.
You will be going through Vyssi Brod and Rosenberg nad Vlatavou. The
Monastery at Vyssi Brod and the Castle at Rosenberg are each worth a couple
of hours.

Cesky Krumlov is sure worth a lot more than one night in my opinion.

Definitely, and so is the whole region.

If there by car, try to get some time for visiting
places like Hluboka (for the castle, and I like the
great little zoo next to the lake), the old town of
Budweis, .... so many sites worth a visit.

When driving from Linz I also prefer to leave E55
once crossed the border to the West (Rybnik) for the
road Rosemberg -> Vetrni -> Cesky Krumlov along the
Vltava (Moldau)

For detailled planning I used www.viamichelin.com
- worked well, especially the maps

Definitely, and so is the whole region.

If there by car, try to get some time for visiting
places like Hluboka (for the castle, and I like the
great little zoo next to the lake), the old town of
Budweis, .... so many sites worth a visit.

When driving from Linz I also prefer to leave E55
once crossed the border to the West (Rybnik) for the
road Rosemberg -> Vetrni -> Cesky Krumlov along the
Vltava (Moldau)

For detailled planning I used www.viamichelin.com
